Aesop lived 500 years before Jesus was a gleam in the eye of the Almighty if you believe that particular myth.... . Aesop was a slave, evidently, but did he let that keep him down? NO WAY So, why don't we, the brilliant Yahoo Answers Literary Community, start a contest or something, dedicated to reviving the memory of Aesop and his awesome fables from ancient times. These fables are really short and to the point perfect for our ADHD age. Some fables could be condensed enough to be sent to everyone on your list in only 3 or 4 tweets twitter.com How awesome Now, did you know that Aesop wrote well over 500 fables? Some of the lesser known titles include The Fox, The Cock, and the Dog......The Buffoon and The Countryman......The Fox and the Mask......The Eagle and The Arrow.......The Woodsman and the Serpent.....The Young Thief and His Mother. I AM NOT JOKING THESE ARE ALL AUTHENTIC AESOP CREATIONS....LOOK IT UP.So, why don't we create some new fables? Anyone wanna give it a go? How about The Puppy and the SmartPhone.....The Crow and the iPad.......The Peacock and the Microwave Tower......The Dingo and the Video Editing Software........and so on Come on team, you've got the smarts. Start writing Show us what you've got and bring some holiday laughter unto our Blessed and Holy computer screens, even if you're an atheist or agnostic. It took y'all a little while to get started....but I've enjoyed all 3 answers so far, especially WowB's, since he added a fine and amusing synopsis. Then again, Bill is in Advanced Placement Yahoo Answers, so, well...this is what we expect to see. Joanne your fable is a bit predictable, no? How about The Rich Old Dude, The Gold Digger and The Totally Ignored VHS Player?

English homework about Aesop?
Are all of these right? 1.Aesop was from Ancient Greece.2.Aesop was born in 620bc so he was born 2627 years ago. Aesop died in 560bc so he died 2568 years ago. So he lived for 60 years.3. A picture of Aesop shows that he is short and ugly, has a long nose and short, grey hair.4.Aesop had two masters. His first master was Xanthus and his second master was Jadmon 5.It is believed that Aesop died because he was executed. Aesop was granted his freedom by Jadmon. Once he was granted his freedom Aesop raised his status from a slave to one of a high respect. He then became an employee of the monarch Croesus in Sardis this meant that he had to go on many missions. One of those missions was to distribute a large amount of gold among the citizens, but he refused to give the money. He was then accused of disrespecting the Gods. He was then executed as a criminal. 6.Three things that I found very interesting about Aesop were Aesop told over 600 fables, It took over 200 years for Aesop s fables to be written down, Every sing one of Aesop s fables had a moral at the end.1.A moral is a lesson that is taught in fables. Morals are left for the hearer, reader or viewer to determine for themselves what they have learnt from that fable.2.A fable is a short story that often has animals that are given human qualities.3.Aesop told his fables to people while he was travelling on his missions, they weren t written down until more than 200 years after his death. Please tell me if they are all right and if they aren't please tell me how to make them better Thankyou
